Other Opportunities

The National Research Council (NRC) together with the Association of American Universities (AAU) in 2006 produced the following award designations– 1393 Highly Prestigious (HP) and Prestigious (P) awards in 4 broad fields: arts and humanities HP=62, social sciences HP=24, physical sciences, and engineering HP=73, and life sciences HP=54. These awards are available in our database located on the under the awards tab.  Since 2006, many new opportunities have arisen, classified as "other" the number grows each year exponentially.

In this section, we wish to offer to provide "other" opportunities that are on par with the HP and P awards along with their nomination deadlines, guidelines, and eligibility requirements. Curating these opportunities involves a process of matching the weighted metrics used to determine the original NRC list designated HP and P with the possibilities now named "other." For a detailed discussion on this topic, please see the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine webpage.
